Roulette is a game of chance featuring a large spinning wheel with numbers 00-36 around the wheel. A ball is dropped into the spinning wheel and it eventually comes to rest in a well at a specific number. There are many options for betting and the odds of winning are low.
Players may place an inside bet. An inside bet is a wager placed specifically on one of the 36 numbers of the wheel (A). A bet may also be placed on a line between two numbers (B). A bet placed on the line next to the smallest number in a row is called a line bet (C)
Players may also place outside bets. Outside bets are the various categories that are listed next to the rows and columns of individual numbers. Wagers can be placed on columns of numbers (D). Bets can be placed on the first, second, or third dozen numbers (E). Lastly, bets can be placed on Even/Odds, Red/Black, or 1-18/19-36 (F).

To minimize confusion over various bets, active roulette players will use identifying markers. Each marker set is a unique pair. The better holds one of the markers and the second marker is placed on top of their chip stack. The matching marker must be presented to the dealer to claim winnings.
