The LA Times has reported that Cuban entertainer, Hugh Baille, had a secret meeting planned with Secretary David O’Brien at a pricey restaurant in Los Angeles this past weekend. Anti-communist protesters filled the streets of Los Angeles carrying signs decrying the Kennedy administration for having dealings with such suspicious and circumspect figures.
There has been no evidence to confirm Mr. Baille’s association with his country’s communist party. However, it is clear that the anti-communist sentiment in America is very strong and that Americans are taking the Cold War with Russia very seriously as they look to speak against and protest Communism wherever it may reside.
