Under the Mask

Out with the Old

Boran Daimsa was a progressive leader who some believed was trying to find peace with the Catholics. He ruled over the Ottoman Empire with a level head and a steady mind and heart. His wife never gifted him a son, but that didn’t seem to deter Daimsa. Boran Daimsa would include his daughter in a number of political meetings and the popular suspicion in the empire suggested that Daimsa would break from tradition and name his daughter to take the throne in the event of his passing. Boran Daimsa’s own brother was the most upset by these rumors.

Boran’s brother began plotting with governors and other politicians and military commanders within the Ottoman Empire to find a way to ensure that the crown would pass to his head and not the head of Yildiz Daimsa.

Unfortunately, Boran’s brother was successful. There was a successful rebellion within the Ottoman Empire and now Veli Kader sits upon the throne. Both Boran and Yildiz were killed in the rebellion and there is no one to challenge Kader’s claim on the Ottoman throne.
