One of the ways that a god can influence the world is to have their image shown off to the American people. Gods can influence people while they appear in movies, act on tv, sing songs, and even perform in variety shows or dance revues at casinos in Las Vegas. There are a number of fantastic show biz opportunities for individuals to plan and interact with. Being part of a group and participating in performances is a good way to earn quiddity to spend on existence and issues.
Who Can Perform?
Every single god has talent and every single god has the potential to be amazing! As such, every single player will have a Showbiz Code on their character sheet. Because everyone has a code, everyone can perform! Each player may only collect Performance Quiddity 2X per game period.
Group Formation
It pays to be part of a group! A single performer can have a lot of star power, but a group of performers has a lot more star power.
How to make a group:
- Organize the group.
- Groups may form/disband at any time.
- A person may only be a member of 1 group at a time.
- Fill out the game form with the group members names and showbiz codes (listed in character packets)
- Give form to GM.
- Perform! All group members need to be PRESENT. Note: Not all the members of the group need to sing/dance. They can help rally the audience to clap, they can introduce the group with a joke, they can help start/stop the music.
- Collect Quiddity payment after performance.
Performances
Performances have so many types! A person or group can tell jokes, do a magic trick, recite a poem, sing a song, dance to a tune, act out a trailer for an upcoming tv show/movie they are a part of. It’s entirely up to the comfort level of the player(s) involved.
Audience Behavior Rules
- Don’t heckle. Its mean.
- Applaud and cheer for all performers. People are gifting you a song, a poem, a dance, a story, a show- thank them with applause.
- Stay off the stage unless you are performing.
Notes to Performers
- Be brave. You are awesome.
- Plots unrelated to a performance may interrupt a performance. If something happens while you are performing and you want to react to it in character- by all means- you may stop your performance and interact with the plot.
- GMs will be conferring with the DJ who is setting up equipment for us to confirm formats for musical accompaniment. We will have game staff available to help with equipment. If the electronics aren’t yours- don’t break them, ask for help before use.
- [Perhaps…] It is up to players to take the stage and perform when they wish to. The GMs will not be managing a schedule of performances.
