- A cataclysmic series/combination of events took place in 1989 that brought magic back into the world. (High Magic/Fantasy Setting)
- Dragons are real. One emerged in the Pacific. Soon after another dragon emerged from each other ocean in the world. They have had babies. The babies are now (at the oldest) 100.
- The lost city of Atlantis was found but a group of people studying the ocean. Their underwater colony collapsed, but through some mysterious means, they have lived on in the ocean able to sustain above and below the depths.
- A series of natural disasters happened and many civilization centers were destroyed. Earth has become irradiated and mutations are happening as well.
- Religious and militant preppers have been empowered by cataclysmic events and have become self proclaimed leaders.
- Game will take place in three physical settings Mundane, Magical. Matrix. Think of them like planes. People cannot be in two planes at once. Physical bodies only exist in the Mundane. The Magical and Matrix realms allow people to have avatars/totems to represent themselves.
